If you qualify you will be added to our waiting list, and you will be welcome to join our family that calls St. Peter Manor “home.” St. Peter Manor serves senior citizens, age 62 and over, as well as the mobility impaired, whose incomes are in the categories of low, very low, and extremely low as defined by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Eligibility for residency at St. Peter Manor is conditional upon these income limits, which are calculated on the basis of the applicant’s total income, reduced by total medical expenses.
The rent paid by the tenant is subsidized by HUD. Utilities are included in the rent. Cable and telephone services are available at the expense of the resident. The Manor comprises 283 apartments of which 234 are 1-bedroom apartments with 512 sq ft. of living-eating area, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. Forty-nine (49) of those are studio apartments, 381 square feet in size.
Apartments are furnished with range, refrigerator, individually controlled air conditioning and heating units, curtains, wall-to-wall carpet, tile in kitchen & bathroom, and emergency call system. Some apartments are equipped for wheelchair accessibility and for the sight and hearing impaired. All areas have smoke detectors, and the building has recently been equipped throughout with a sprinkler system.

The Manor residents enjoy an atmosphere of inter-dependency and gracious living. St. Peter Manor does not discriminate against any person on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status, or national origin.
Funded through separate HUD grants, Service Coordinators work with the residents to educate and assist them in connecting to services available to them in the community. Activities are planned and provided for the residents at St. Peter Manor, especially during the various holiday seasons.
Residents are encouraged to participate in planned events and to interact with each other. St. Peter Manor has an active Resident Council, made up of residents that meet regularly to plan activities and to keep residents informed of any changes or news. The meetings normally include refreshments and a guest speaker.
HOW TO BECOME A RESIDENT?
- Call, write, or stop in for an application or pre-application forms
- After determining eligibility, you will be placed on a waiting list until an apartment becomes available
- You will be contacted every six months to update your application
